Reader Appoints New Production Manager
Reader Cement Products, a leading UK producer of dry blended building materials, has appointed Sophie Guy as its new Production Manager. Sophie will take over from Bob Dables, who leaves the company at the end of this month after more than 28 years’ service.
Sophie, 25, joined Reader in 2017 as Production Administrator, and was swiftly promoted to Production Supervisor in 2019 to handle order intake and production figures.
In her new role, Sophie will be managing production planning, procurement and scheduling at all three plants within the group.
William Langley, Managing Director, Reader Cement Products, said: “It’s good to see some young blood in the company, someone with outstanding work ethic and drive. Sophie’s gained a wealth of knowledge and was an obvious choice for the job. I would also like to thank Bob for his loyal service and wish him well in his new venture.”
Commenting on her promotion, Sophie added: “I’m looking forward to the challenge ahead, my focus will be to continue to help progress the company, improve on customer relations and maintain Readers outstanding customer support.”
Reader has been producing high quality cement products since 1985, originally for the mining industry.
