Established in 1985, Reader Cement Products is marking another milestone in its 40+ year history.
Ten years ago this week, following a major investment by parent company Langley Holdings, Reader commissioned its Phase 1 automated packing facility expansion, a milestone that transformed the company’s production capability and laid the foundations for the next decade of growth.
Since that initial investment, Reader has packed more than 55+ million bags and despatched over 800,000 pallets of finished product to customers across the UK.
More recently, the company completed its Phase 2 investment programme with a second major packing installation, increasing Reader’s annual production capability to more than 10 million bags per year and establishing the business as Europe’s largest independent blending and packing facility of its kind.

The investment programme has transformed Reader’s production capability while strengthening customer trust through quality products and reliable service, creating a strong platform for continued long-term growth.
The Phase 1 & 2 investment programmes included the installation of advanced Arodo AROVAC ® packing systems alongside integrated material handling equipment supplied by SGH Equipment Ltd.
